Installing the ONLYOFFICE DocSpace connector for WordPress

Configuring your DocSpace

1. Use the menu in the lower left corner and select the DocSpace Settings option.
2. For both SaaS and server versions: switch to the Developer tools -> Javascript SDK section. In the Embed DocSpace as iframe field, enter your WordPress address and click the + icon.
3. For the server version only: in the Customization section, make sure that the DNS Settings option is enabled and the domain name of the DocSpace portal is specified.

Configuring your WordPress

1. Download the connector from GitHub.
2. Navigate to the Plugins section in your WordPress administrative dashboard and click Add New.
3. Click Upload Plugin and select the zipped plugin.
4. Go to the plugin settings and specify the following parameters:
   • DocSpace Service Address
   • Admin Login and Password
5. Click Save.

When you click on the Save button, a user with the Room admin role will be created in ONLYOFFICE DocSpace, with the same data as the current WordPress user.

Creating DocSpace rooms within WordPress

After setting up the integration plugin, DocSpace will appear for users with the upload_files permission. Such users are able to access ONLYOFFICE DocSpace where it's possible to create Collaboration, Custom, or Public rooms, invite users, and collaborate on documents within the rooms.

Adding a DocSpace room or file to the WordPress page

When creating a post, you can add the ONLYOFFICE DocSpace element (block) – room or file. Click the + icon, then Browse all, and choose ONLYOFFICE DocSpace.

To add a room, click the Select room button, select the desired room and press Select. In the block settings, you can specify the desired width and height to be displayed on the page, as well as light or dark theme.

To add a file, click the Select file button, select the desired file from the room and press Save. In the block settings, you can specify the desired width and height to be displayed on the page, as well as light or dark theme.

After the post is published, your WordPress site visitors will be able to view this file without the necessity to download it. WordPress users will be able to view or edit files online/add new files to the room depending on their access rights.

Access rights to rooms and files for WordPress users on the published WordPress pages are determined by the following principles:

• If the room should be available to all users, use a public room in DocSpace. It will be visible on the public WordPress page (a private WordPress page is only available to logged in users).
• If the room should be available only to logged in users, use a non-public room in DocSpace. A WordPress login will be required to view it, even on a public page.

Please note the following specifics for DocSpace rooms published on WordPress pages:

• DocSpace left menu is not avaiable;
• Navigation is possible within the added room only;
• If users have the Room admin or Power user role, they can create new files.
