Z.TEST function Using the AVERAGE function The RANK function is one of the statistical functions. It is used to return the rank of a number in a list of numbers. The rank of a number is its size relative to other values in a list (if you were to sort the list, the rank of the number would be its position). Syntax RANK(number, ref, [order]) The RANK function has the following arguments: Argument Description number The value you want to find the rank for. ref The selected range of cells containing the specified number. order The numeric value that specifyes how to order the ref array. It is an optional argument. If it is 0 or omitted, the function ranks number as if ref were a list sorted in descending order. Any other numeric value is treated as the value 1 and the function ranks number as if ref were a list sorted in ascending order. Notes How to apply the RANK function.
