RANDARRAY Function

The RANDARRAY function is one of the math and trigonometry functions. It is used to return an array of random numbers and can be configured to fill a certain number of rows and columns, set a range for values, or return whole/decimal numbers.

Syntax

RANDARRAY([rows], [columns], [min], [max], [whole_number])

The RANDARRAY function has the following arguments:

Argument Description
rows An optional argument indicating the number of rows to be returned. If the argument is not given, the function will return a value between 0 and 1.
columns An optional argument indicating the number of columns to be returned. If the argument is not given, the function will return a value between 0 and 1.
min An optional argument indicating the minimum number to be returned. If the argument is not given, the function will default to 0 and 1.
max An optional argument indicating the maximum number to be returned. If the argument is not given, the function will default to 0 and 1.
whole_number An optional TRUE or FALSE argument. If TRUE, the function will return a whole number; FALSE will return a decimal one.
